Stairs, missing wins and Candle reward fixes

The v0.8.14 notes address walking through stairs, invisible walls and Meowth blocking the route. Their instruction is to walk up the stairs after clearing the floor. Ectoplasm Armor delivery and the No Light achievement also receive fixes.

v0.8.15 says wrongly rejected Tower victories now count. v0.8.16 revises the event ranking layout; v0.8.17 addresses reward claims failing on slow connections. A Tower record, leaderboard place and Book of Candles claim are different things to check.

Where is the Lavender Tower event?

Open the original PokeBonk game and look for the event button on the main menu. The English v0.8.17 menu labels it Lavender Tower Night. The earlier Spanish label in our v0.8.13 session has been replaced.

The overview has Play, Book of Candles, Achievements, Leaderboard and Prizes tabs, along with your Candle counter and best floor. Choose Enter the Tower when ready. We opened the first two tabs without starting a run.

When does Lavender Tower Night end?

The official announcement schedules the event through November 4, 2026 at 17:30 UTC, or November 5 at 01:30 UTC+8. It began with Season 2 on October 21 at 16:30 UTC. Our October 22 live countdown was consistent with that endpoint.

Mainland Spain is at 18:30 local time at both endpoints, but daylight saving changes between them. Preserve the stated UTC endpoint when planning your last run; do not assume the period is exactly 336 hours.

Read the floor instructions before entering

  1. Beat three waves on each floor to open the stairs.
  2. Use the Silph Scope pulse to reveal unidentified ghosts; the interface says they otherwise take very little damage.
  3. Light candles to see in the dark. Gengar’s tombstones can hide a trick or a treat.
  4. Pick an Offering on every floor. The instructions place Marowak on floor 6 and Gengar at the top.
  5. After the main tower, the Floors of the Beyond continue endlessly. The page says each accepted curse increases Candles.

These steps paraphrase the released overview. We have not reproduced the Scope interaction, boss timing, Offerings or curse effects. Inspect each prompt in your current run and keep an earlier video’s version in mind.

How do Candles and the Book work?

The Book of Candles says every run earns Candles: more in the event mode and fewer in the other modes. It lists exclusive event prizes on a progress track ending at 2,500 Candles.

That describes the intended progression, not a measured earning rate. We have not tested result credit, difficulty multipliers, claim actions or whether a particular unfinished run earns Candles. Avoid planning around an unverified “fastest farm.”

The ten Candle reward tiers

The table preserves displayed reward names. It does not infer an unshown quantity, cosmetic category, purchase cost or claim requirement. Our Guest had zero Candles, so no tier was earned in this check.

Keep event records and save questions separate

The v0.8.4 notes say trainer cards distinguish the run’s mode, region, difficulty, fusions and Bag items, and show the best Lavender Tower floor. An event floor, Candle balance and a leaderboard position are different fields.

The v0.8.6 and v0.8.7 notes separately change Season 2 ranked eligibility and reset its boards/clan competition data. They do not establish that every catch, Lab purchase or older run history was deleted.

For a report, keep the version, mode, floor, result message and before/after Candle balance. We cannot inspect private account rewards, and no reward-delivery guarantee is made here.

Checked on . Checked October 22, 2026 in the original game v0.8.13: opened the Event overview and Book of Candles in a Guest session, with zero Candles and no event record. The endpoint comes from the October 20 official News article read October 21 and is consistent with the live countdown. No Tower run, boss clear, Candle farming rate, reward claim, event leaderboard or prize eligibility was tested. Original game led by Charcher; this is an independent guide. The October 22 follow-up also read the v0.8.14–v0.8.17 release notes. These are attributed project statements, not reproduced fixes or a new gameplay test.
