When does PokeBonk Season 2 start?

The official announcement schedules Season 2 for October 21, 2026 at 16:30 UTC, when its new leaderboards begin. That is October 21 at 18:30 in mainland Spain, or October 22 at 00:30 in UTC+8. The publication date of the announcement is October 20; it is different from the launch date.

Two new maps: Storm Coast and Celestial Glacier

The announcement adds two regions with six guardians and one legendary boss each. The listed unlocks describe completion of the preceding region; the article does not establish every mode or difficulty condition, and we have not completed these unlocks.

Map details stated in the October 20 official announcement
RegionAnnounced unlockEnvironmentLegendary encounter
Storm CoastComplete Rocky DesertTides, beaches, pearls and waterspoutsZapdos · Thunder Cape Shrine
Celestial GlacierComplete Storm CoastBlizzards, shelter, frozen lakes and ice momentumArticuno · Sky Lake Shrine

Storm Coast’s guardian list is Kingler, Electrode, Gyarados, Tentacruel, Starmie and Electabuzz. Celestial Glacier’s is Dewgong, Hypno, Cloyster, Jynx, Lapras and Alakazam. These are announced boss roles, not a promise that defeating each one immediately recruits a League member.

The notes describe using lightning rods against Zapdos and pillars against Articuno’s reflected beam. They also describe swimming and ice affecting movement. Treat those as mechanics to inspect in the released encounters; we do not yet have a tested boss route or timing guide.

Move fusions become an explicit Season 2 feature

The project announces 106 fusions: 79 signature combinations, eight reaction combinations, 18 same-type combinations and a MissingNo. fallback. Its stated flow takes two max-level moves to Bill’s Machine, combines them into one move slot and leaves the other slot free.

This is more specific than the earlier skill-fusion roadmap. The article describes inherited upgrades and further fusion levels, but neither the announcement nor a dramatic clip establishes an optimal build. We keep the prerequisites, starter examples and untested details together in the move fusion reference.

Lab, items and progression: check older prices carefully

  • The announcement removes item requirements and makes all 59 locked items purchasable with Stardust from the start. Previously owned items stay owned.
  • Lab upgrades are described as 15% cheaper. Archive changes to five slots per level, across four levels, for a maximum of 20.
  • Five new Lab upgrades are named: Precision, Swiftness, Expansion, Harmony and Big Bag.
  • The content list adds 24 items, five vitamins and three altar systems, alongside new achievements.

Our Lab price tables record an unupgraded v0.6.2 Guest session from October 18. They remain a dated reference. Do not subtract 15% from a table and assume you know the current displayed price, rounding or next-level cost; inspect the released card before spending.

Other announced systems include Mega crit, an airborne slide/dive, TM power-ups and hatchable eggs that can join as Support Alphas. The notes also change boss HP limits, Stardust rewards and shop pricing. These need current-game checks before numerical damage, farming or purchase recommendations.

Halloween event: Lavender Tower Night

Lavender Tower Night is announced as a separate limited-time mode with its own leaderboard. It begins with Season 2 and is scheduled to end November 4, 2026 at 17:30 UTC: November 4 at 18:30 in mainland Spain, or November 5 at 01:30 in UTC+8. Spain’s daylight-saving change explains the different UTC hour at the end.

The article describes seven authored floors of the Pokémon Tower, three waves per floor with a boss on the third, followed by an endless section beyond the rooftop. Its named encounters include Ghost Marowak and Gengar, Lord of the Tower.

Runs are described as earning Candles toward a ten-step Book of Candles, with titles, Stardust, frames, avatars, costumes and a Spectral look. The notes say Candles can also be earned in other modes while the event runs. Exact earning rates, claim steps and rank rewards have not been tested here.

Clan rivalry, weekly missions and a clan board

In the new Discord novedades channel, Charcher previews weekly rivalry against another clan, a shared weekly mission for prizes and a clan board for members to talk. The October 20 post places the rework with the Season 2 release.

The preview does not supply a complete scoring formula, matchmaking rule, permission model or reward schedule. A clan feature is also different from a shared combat session. The latest checked co-op plan remains shortly after Season 2, without an exact launch date or a playable lobby verified by this guide.

What happened to Mega Evolutions and the old boss reworks?

The complete October 20 News article revises the earlier Season 2 plan: Mega Evolutions are deferred until Gen 2, planned for Season 3. It gives no exact Season 3 date. Mega crit, separately announced for Season 2, is a combat mechanic; it is not Mega Evolution.

The Mew and Moltres reworks are also deferred to a future season. The project says it wants to give them more developed encounter mechanics while keeping gameplay stable once a season starts. Do not read the October 19 roadmap as the final Season 2 feature list.

Before following a Season 2 guide

  1. Open the original PokeBonk game between runs and check the version beneath the logo.
  2. Open the top-bar News icon for the complete Season 2 announcement; open the version button for What’s new.
  3. Compare your own region, mode, League members and current Lab prices with the guide’s dated evidence.
  4. For a missing result or a reward still under review, keep the result message and version. The project’s v0.7.8 notes describe manual season-end review and mailbox results; they do not guarantee an individual payout time.
